Ralph Ryti, age 93, a resident of Calumet passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday November 10, 2015 at Our Lady Of Mercy Health and Rehab in Hubbell.
He was born on July 25, 1922 in Kingston, Minnesota to Ernest and Esther (Erickson) Ryti.
He attended the Calumet Schools.
He enlisted in the United States Navy in November 1942 and served for three years during World War II. After the war he worked in the Copper Country Mines for several years. He also worked at Bendix Brakes in South Bend, Indiana, and Norcoate Company in Warren, MI.
His first wife, Signe Johnson preceded him in death on June 24, 1982.
He then married Luella Hendrickson on May 21, 1983 in Hancock.
Ralph was a lifetime member for the VFW Post 3900 of Calumet.
He loved spending time with friends and family and taking his grandson Bradley fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Margaret and Dorothy, brother Warren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Joupe to Officiate. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek.
Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
