Bootjack Neighbors

Since we have retired we have been spending our summers at the family Bootjack cabin. Our neighbors, Judie and Al were always here to welcome us back for the summer. It was comforting to see them next door and to chat in each other’s yard. Often when I went outside to take a picture of the sunset, I would wave to Judie who was also enjoying the sunset. When my elderly dad was still spending time at the cabin, Judie often brought down the newspaper for him. Judie and Al were the last people we would see when we left the cabin and we always exchanged hugs and wishes for a good winter. We guess we won’t be saying, “See you next year” anymore. It makes us sad. Rest in peace, Judie. You will be missed.
