Obituary for Dorothy I. Hannula

Dorothy I. Hannula, 86, a resident of Calumet passed away on May 28, 2014 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock.

She was born on January 28, 1928 in Calumet a daughter of the late Salem and Helmi (Pelto) Ekola.

Dorothy graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1946.

On May 14, 1955 she was united in marriage to Paul Hannula and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2008.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino, baking and in her younger years swimming and platform diving.

Surviving are:

5 children: Susan (Hannula) Spaulding of Kelowna, B.C.

Sandra (Ray) Leys of Kentwood, MI

David (Tammy) Hannula of Calumet

Paul (Tina) Hannula Jr. of Calumet

Patricia (Gail) Mullreed of Ann Arbor, MI

6 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren;

Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet with Pastor Ken Toth to officiate.

Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM.

Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
