Dear Russ, I worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Portage Health with Penny there in Home Care Nursing administration. I worked at Aspirus also and saw her again there. I so always liked "bumping" into her for her warmth was always there. I retired in 2009 and have lost touch. I just read her obituary in the Gazette and I am so sad for your loss. She will be so missed. I am in Florida for the winter at my daughter's in Tallahassee; so unfortunately I cannot attend any of your funeral activities. My heart aches for you, your family and our community for the loss of Penny. Sincerely, Jan

I and my family want to extend our deep sympathy to Mr. Foley and family. As friends of Sonja and Joe Peredo, we had the priviledge of being acquainted with Penny through them. We pray that God will give you peace and help you as you adjust to the loss of such a valued and lovely lady.

Tom and I were very saddened to hear about Penny. We always found her to be loving, caring, and well respected by the Navy and her Community. Her nursing was a labor of love that she gave everyday and made the patients feel like family. No one can fill her shoes but, you can believe that Jesus has taken another beautiful rose for his garden. God be with all of you and give you strength for the days ahead.

  Russ and Family-

My only wish is that I had become friends with Penny sooner! I have never met a more caring, genuine person in my life and I was glad I had the chance to tell her so. She taught me so very much in a short amount of time.
Whenever we were blessed to see her she always asked "How is everyone today" even though she was going through something far more serious than any of us here at work were She will be missed so much by so many.
You and your family are truly blessed to have been able to share your lives with such an extrodinary person. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you Penny!
