Laurium: Ernest Petermann Frisk, 82, of Laurium, passed away on March 10, 2010.
He was born July 13, 1927 in Mohawk, a son of Ernest Norman and Caroline (Petermann) Frisk. He graduated from Calumet High School in 1945. He was a Michigan State Police officer in White Pidgeon, Iron Mountain, and for 15 years in Calumet. He was also employed by Gartners in Hancock from 1976 until 1989.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1948.
He was a member of the Ahmeek and Calumet Methodist Churches. He was also a member of the Mohawk American Legion.
He was married to Jean Marinelli on August 8, 1950 in Ahmeek.
He enjoyed the summers they spent at Lac La Belle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son- Ricky.
He is survived by: his wife-Jean; a son Mike (Janet) Frisk of Laurium; a daughter- Sue (Rich) LeBlanc of Bootjack, grandchildren-Jeff, Jake, Jill, Robin, Christy, Mandy, Shad, Marissa, numerous great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation.
