Obituary for Arthur Leroy Dahlgren

Arthur Leroy Dahlgren, age 85, of Mohawk passed away peacefully on July 26, 2017 at his home.

Arthur was born to Arthur and Helen (Kaura) Dahlgren on March 16, 1932 in Mohawk.

He graduated from Calumet High School.

He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Mohawk.

After high school he joined the United States Air Force and served for 22 years. During his service he met Ruth Wegmann in Spain. The two got married in Switzerland in 1960. Following his service in the Air Force he went to work for Honeywell Electronics outside of Chicago. He retired from Honeywell after 20 years and moved back to Mohawk.

Arthur loved to travel, and did a lot of it in his 20 years in the Air Force. A few of his hobbies were to fiddle with his electronics and to golf. He also loved to spend time with his family.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Bubbs Dahlgren and Jerry Dahlgren.

3 Sons: Jon Dahlgren of Millbrook, New York
James Dahlgren of Salt Lake City, Utah
Jeff (Jennifer) Dahlgren of Chicago, Illinois

Daughter: Jennifer (Dan) Frohreich of Seattle, Washington

4 Grandchildren: Sean and Jake Frohreich, Kender and Sarah Dahlgren

Sister: Shirley (Ed) Grampo of Lake Linden.

And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Mohawk on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Richard T. Draper to officiate.

Burial will follow the service at the Eagle Harbor Cemetery.
