Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. My mother and father were old friends of Archie & Julia's. My father, "Huck," passed away in 1969. My mother just passed on June 3 of this year, a little over a month ago. Even when it's not completely unexpected, it's a sad time when you lose your mother. Please know that your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. The four of them are probably together somewhere right now, and that's a happy thought.

Condolence: My heart goes out to you. It's hard to truly accept our parents will ever leave us, but unfortunately that's the cycle of life. Keep your memories close to you. I enjoyed reading her obituary and learning a bit more about her life.

Condolence: So sorry to read about the loss of your mom. No matter how old they are or how old we are, it still leaves a huge empty space when they move on. My mom died almost four years ago and I still miss her every day. I enjoyed reading what your mom wrote for the paper. It's easy to see that she influenced your personalities. My deepest sympathy to you and your families.

Condolence: Julia and Archie were good friends of my parents. They were square dancing buddies. That's how I became a fishing partner of Archie's. Some of my favorite memories are times I fished with Archie at Rabbit Bay and after we would dine on smoked lake trout in the cabin and visit with Jukka. So sorry to hear about Jukka's passing. God bless you Barbara and Donald.

Condolence: So saddened to hear of the passing of Juka. I have warm and wonderful memories of her in the little kitchen at Rabbit Bay where she would always have something ready for you to eat, no matter what time of the day. She made us feel so welcome every time we visited and was so full of life and laughter, it's hard to imagine her any other way. She and Archie painted wonderful pictures of my childhood summer trips in Michigan that I will always treasure. Rest in peace.

Condolence: Hi Don and Family, Sorry to hear. She lived a good life and that was a great obit. I really enjoyed the first person narrative. Ironically, I am going to a CFU Croatian picnic tomorrow. Hope you have a good day reminiscing tomorrow. May her light shine bright upon us all.
